Power Campus determines which parts of a date entry are the month, day
and year, and automatically converts and stores the date in the MM-DD-YYYY
format. Follow these general recommendations when you enter dates:
Always enter two digits for the month first. For
example, enter 01 for January, not 1.
Be aware if you enter two digits for the month
greater than 12, Power Campus will carry the second digit over as the
day, e.g., if you entered 44 for the month, Power Campus would automatically
convert that to 04/04.
Power Campus automatically provides slash ( / ) separators when entering dates.
Enter all data using normal upper and lower case letters.
e.g., 555 Broadway not 555 BROADWAY
Hyphens, periods and slashes may be used when needed for clarity or if there is a fraction in the address.
341/2 Chestnut Lane
65-21 First Avenue
Always spell the word fully, do not abbreviate Street, Boulevard, Road, etc.
222 Palisade Avenue not 222 Palisade Ave.
Never use the pound sign (#) or percentage sign
(%).
The ampersand (&) should be used in a place of the word and."
e.g., Ben & Jerrys or 4th & Vine
Enter In Care of as c/o.
Jackie Robinson (line 1)
c/o Mr. and Mrs. John Appleseed (line 2)
Use No. to abbreviate number. Do not use the pound ( # ) sign.
450 Ninth Avenue No. 3A (period after "No")
Post Office Boxes: Should be addressed as PO Box
(not P.O. Box)
If the address is a multi unit apartment or building, enter the apartment or suite number to the right of the address.
777 Park Avenue Suite 3
755 Lexington Avenue Apt 4 (no period after
"Apt")
If the information does not fit on one line, enter
the address on one line then the apartment or suite number on the next
line. This should only be done if absolutely necessary.
The Power Campus address format provides three
lines for street address information. However, using three address lines
causes a problem when printing one-inch labels. For this reason the third
line of street address is not used.
Format for entering a residential street address is as follows:
Line 1: Delivery Address with apartment number (if the delivery address is too long, continue on Line 2).
Line 2: Delivery Address continued from Line 1if too long, e.g., an apartment or suite number may go here.
Line 3: Do not use.
Format for entering a business address or a "care of (c/o) address is as follows:
Line 1: Name of the Business Addressee or c/o followed by person's name.
Line 2: Delivery Address of business or in care of person.
Line 3: Do not use.

The City name field will be automatically populated when the zip code is entered for US addresses.
If the City name is not filled in automatically, enter it in standard upper and lower case letters. This will always be the case with international addresses, including Canadian addresses.
Do not use abbreviations for a City unless the name is too long to fit in a field. In that case, speak to your supervisor.
The State field is required and will be automatically
populated for a US address when the zip code is entered.
USPS standard State abbreviations
are used for all U.S. addresses.

Zip codes must be entered for all US addresses.
If you dont have the address go to the following URL and look it up: http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp
US Addresses: use the five-digit zip code only (Zip + 4 is not permitted at this time).
Enter the street address, as given, in the three
lines provided for address. (Always avoid using the third address line
if possible.)
Enter the city in the City field.
If there is a city-related name, number or letter/number combination that is not part of the street name, but comes before the actual City name, enter that in the City Prefix field.
e.g., Ms. Joyce Browning (Prefix, First Name,
Last Name)
2045 Royal Road (Address Line 1)
06570 St Paul City (City Prefix, City)
France (Country)
If there is a postal code, or any address information that appears after the City name, enter that in the City Suffiix field.
e.g., Mr. Robert Morris (Prefix, First Name,
Last Name)
23 Colonel Bay Drive (Address Line 1)
Ottawa ON K2B 5L (City, City Suffix)
Canada (Country)
Use the Country dropdown menu to select the correct
country. Do not manually enter the Country. If the country does not appear
in the menu list, contact your supervisor.
Do not use hyphens and do not enter the international
postal delivery zone number in the Zip Code field.
Enter Canadian addresses the same as other international addresses:
Enter the street address in the lines provided for address.
Enter the Canadian City in the City field.
Enter the Canadian Postal Code in the City Suffix field. Use capital letters.
Always include a space in the Canadian Zip Code but do not use periods, hyphens, or other punctuation marks.
Mr. Thomas Clark
117 Russell Boulevard
Ottawa ON B2G 2R8
or
Mr. Robert Morris
23 Colonel Bay Drive
Ottawa ON K2B 5L6
Note: All addresses must have a city entered in the City Field. There may or may not be an entry in the City Prefix or City Suffix fields. Canadian postal codes always go in the City Suffix Field, not in the Zip Code Field.

For foreign military addresses, enter the letters APO or AFO in the City field. Enter the APO/AFO abbreviation (e.g., AE or AP) in the State code. Enter the zip code in the Zip Code field. In PowerCampus, a foreign military address is treated in effect like a domestic address.
For United States military addresses enter the letters city and base designation in the City field, e.g. Elmendorf, AFB (US city of Elmendorf, AFB being Air Force Base). Enter State abbreviation in the State field. Enter the zip code in the Zip Code field. Do not use zip + 4.
